Club representatives re-elected Juan Formosa as President of the Malta Fencing Association for another term of office.

Also keeping their posts were Kenneth Spiteri, General Secretary, Nicky Bianchi, Sports Director and Alexander Micallef, Treasurer.

The officials welcomed Mark Borg as a new member on the Council.

In his report on the preceding season, the President highlighted the good relations that exist between the NFAM and their foreign counterparts which had resulted in numerous opportunities for Maltese fencing.

The NFAM is affiliated to the Fédération Internationale d’Escrime (FIE), to the European Fencing Confederation (CEE) and to the Mediterranean Fencing Confederation (Comes).

The NFAM also has a protocol agreement with the Federazione Italiana Scherma (FIS) through which it receives technical aid. The NFAM has been a member of the Malta Olympic Committee since the year 2000.
