The bowling team composed of John Paul Fenech, Maria Spiteri, Angelle Azzopardi and Bjorn Tabone finished third yesterday to clinch the bronze medal with a total of 1,269 points.

Meanwhile, it seems as if there are more chances for the acquisition of medals by Maltese athletes. Justin Spiteri in the bocci discipline, has reached the final of his division after beating Denmark’s Troels Randall.

Also in action, but without success were Joanna Vassallo, Joseph Tanti and Amanda Baker, as well as swimmers Charmaine Mifsud, Maria Wetz, Mark Zammit Cutajar and Jonathan Borg.
