It seems that we really are in an election mood.

The way the government and the opposition are attacking each other over the most trivial of matters seems to indicate that we are not far from the day of reckoning.

What I do hope is that both sides do not resort to simple mud-slinging and come up with proposals that are for the best of the country.

The people have to choose – and they will do so on what is being proposed by the two sides, not on how clever the two sides are in denigrating the other party.
