Three men have been charged with seriously injuring a man and slightly injuring another two men on 31 August outside the mortuary at St Luke’s Hospital.

Emanuel Mifsud, 53, from Qormi, Carmelo Mifsud, 48, from Qormi and Malcolm Mifsud, 29, from Luqa, were charged with seriously injuring Louis Borg and slightly injuring Karl Borg and Miguel Borg, all from Sliema.

The men were also accused of disobeying police orders, breaching the peace, threatening the Borgs and damaging the uniforms of a number of police officers.

Police inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted while Dr Jose Herrera and Dr Roberto Montalto appeared for the defence.
