A Sense of humour is a joy forever

Malta Independent Sunday, 8 October 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

I refer to Daphne’s article entitled “Bottle-fed babies of the world, unite” (TMIS, 24 September).

No other word can better describe her articles other than... brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

I wonder how many readers of this newspaper, like myself, turn immediately to Daphne’s page? Although her articles are in the main serious, anyone failing to see the wit of this lady must surely be lacking up there in the grey matter zone.

OK... so we have Daphne on Sunday, Daphne on Thursday. Time for Daphne on Friday perhaps? Daphne’s agony (aunt) column? Answering readers’ queries on all things non political in nature would make for entertaining reading.

To quote Malta’s very own Edward De Bono – Humour is by far the most significant activity of the human brain.
