Vodafone Malta Limited has announced a new appointment in its management structure. Joseph Cuschieri has been appointed as head of legal, regulatory and corporate affairs which includes responsibility for carrier services and roaming. He shall also act as company secretary of Vodafone Malta’s board of directors.

Over the past 12 months, Joseph Cuschieri was involved in a number of international assignments namely in Egypt and Turkey, where he participated and assisted Vodafone subsidiaries with a number of projects. He was also involved with Vodafone’s group public policy office in Brussels.

Mr Cuschieri held various senior management positions mainly within the hospitality and the construction industry. Prior to joining Vodafone Malta, Mr Cuschieri was chief of operations at the Malta Communications Authority for almost five years, during which time he was instrumental in setting up the National Regulatory Authority (NRA) and the implementation of the regulatory framework and attendant telecoms sector reform.

Joseph Cuschieri is a Certified Public Accountant by profession and a Fellow Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Henley Management College, UK, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.
