The ongoing Malta Historic Cities Festival, currently being organised by The Malta Tourism Authority, will this weekend be presenting the third edition of the Valletta Military Tattoo at St George’s Square (better known as Palace Square) in Valletta. The Valletta Military Tattoo will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 6pm and 10pm.

Numerous historical pageants have taken place in St George’s Square since the time of the completion of the Grand Master’s Palace in 1571 by the Knights of St John. The Valletta Military Tattoo, which will be held in this square, will mark the close of yet another successful edition of the Malta Historic Cities Festival, an eleven-day programme full of pageantry, musical entertainment and folklore.

The participating bands at this year’s edition will be The Gloucestershire Corps of Drums from England, The Concord Drum and Bugle Corps from England, The Tannoura Whirling Dervishes Troupe from Egypt, The Fanfara Dei Bersaglieri from Italy, The Malta Police Precision Team, The Malta Police Canine Section, The Malta Police Band and The Armed Forces of Malta Band.

Tickets will be on sale at Lm8 and Lm5 from the ticketing booth at City Gate, Valletta or online: http://www.choosemalta.com/en
