Good Treatment at St Luke’s

Malta Independent Friday, 13 October 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

Please allow me to shower praise on the medical staff at St Luke’s Emergency ward.

On 5 October my son was involved in an unfortunate accident which could have had severe repercussions. Thank God this was not the case as God’s hand was truly with him on that day.

However, I must say a big thank you to the ambulance staff who came to the scene on the way they dealt with the situation – the way they took all the care necessary to ensure that my son was taken to hospital in the best way possible while ensuring that my son’s immediate needs were being looked after.

On arrival at the emergency ward, the attention my son got was immediate, the professional way in which this dedicated group of doctors and nurses went about their business was impressive, to say the least.

Despite being hard pressed with the load of work, I immediately found one doctor and three nurses at my son’s side taking all the necessary precautions and acting in the swiftest way possible to see that my son’s problem was dealt with.

We are so fast to complain sometimes about the lack of service in this department when in actual fact this dedicated group of doctors and nurses work as one team, dealing with the more urgent cases first to ensure those who actually are in need of their help do get it.

May God keep guiding your hands in the exemplary way you all go about this thankless job you all perform with such love and dedication.

May God bless you.
