A concert by Czech soprano Marta Hanfova and pianist maestro Radimir Melmuka will be held at the Manoel Theatre on Tuesday, 24 October under the patronage of President and Mrs Fenech Adami, and in the presence of Tomas Cardinal Spidlik SJ.

The concert forms part of the Czech Week of celebrations and events highlighting Malta’s relations with the Czech Republic.

The Manoel Theatre concert is one of the highlights of this week and reflects the ongoing cooperation agreement between the theatre and the honorary consulate of the Czech Republic in Malta.

Part of the proceeds of the concert will go to the honorary consulate’s fund for the Good Shepherd Sisters in Ostrava, in the Czech Republic, who run a shelter for distressed women and children. The home is run by a Maltese nun, Sister Doris Saliba.
