The 36th edition of the WMTS Annual Congress which Malta is this year hosting will start today. Besides the Scientific(Medical) sessions by world famous medical doctors, a very important sector of the Congress would be the tennis tournament for which no less than 288 participants from 22 countries have registered to take part. On the first daythe events being played are the Men and Ladies Singles(medical doctors) and the non-medical Ladies Singles.

It is estimated that around 550 matches would be played in the five days of the tournament. Due to this large amount of matches on the program, the tournament is being played at the Marsa Sports Club, Vittoriosa Lawn Tennis Club and Tennis Club Kordin.
