A new section with extensive euro changeover information has been launched on the Bank of Valletta website – www.bov.com. The new information section forms part of the communication strategy being implemented by BOV with the objective of informing its customers about this process of national importance.

The euro changeover information section is accessible from the front page of the BOV website and contains information related to banking services, guidelines issued by the National Euro Changeover Committee, frequently asked questions with answers, security features, conversion tables and a checklist for business organisations.

John Cassar Torreggiani, executive head responsible for the euro changeover project at Bank of Valletta said, “Over the past year, Bank of Valletta has been gearing up for this change process both from an operational as well as a strategic point of view. Information technology, cash management and communication lie at the core of this project. The bank is working in close collaboration with the Central Bank of Malta, the National Euro Changeover Committee and the Malta Bankers’ Association to ensure a smooth changeover process. Furthermore, we firmly believe that it is essential to keep our customers abreast with the developments taking place. The launch of this new information section is another initiative we are taking in this regard.”

Bank of Valletta has also set up a dedicated email address to which customers can write to seek more information on the euro changeover process. The email address is [email protected].
