It is surely the case of “one in a million” and “third time lucky” for Dorothy Charlesworth from Staffordshire in the UK. Mrs Charlesworth was the winner of a brand new Smart For Two coupe that was the grand prize in the latest promotion organised by the Airport Value Marketing Association.
The lucky ticket drawn was among one million plus tickets that were distributed during the promotion and Mrs Charlesworth was on her third trip to Malta when she was given the winning ticket.
The promotion was open to passengers travelling from Malta International Airport during the past nine months and was combined with shopping at any of the Airport Value and tax-free shops at MIA.
For every Lm5 spent, passengers were given a ticket with the possibility of winning instant cash prizes as well as taking part in the lottery draw to win the Smart For Two coupe.
This was another initiative that the Airport Value Marketing Association took to promote the shopping area and create a more entertaining atmosphere to encourage passengers to shop from the vast range of outlets and products available. The draw was conducted under the supervision of members from the Lotteries and Gaming Authority.
