Leading broadband service-provider Maltanet has announced that it is to be a sponsor of the Kilimanjaro Challenge III (KC3).

The challenge will see around 20 volunteers climbing up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise Lm45,000, which will go towards two different causes. Lm15,000 will be used to furnish a school and convent in Ethiopia and Lm30,000 will be used to finance the prostheses of Amy Zahra, a 21-year-old who lost her legs after suffering from meningitis.

“Maltanet is a firm supporter of such initiatives, and our sponsorship goes towards helping the KC3 challenge raise the necessary funds for several worthy initiatives they have identified. Through this sponsorship, as well as the coverage through the di-ve.com portal, we hope that the challenge will meet all the set objectives, for the benefit of all the beneficiaries,” commented Maltanet’s marketing and wholesale mana-ger Jack Mizzi.

Maltanet content lead and software developer David Captur will be one of the 20 participants of the Kilimanjaro Challenge III.

All the proceeds from events and donations will go to the above-mentioned Kilimanjaro Challenge III causes. People wishing to make a donation can do so via SMS on 5061-7371 to donate Lm1, 5061-8077 to donate Lm2 and 5061-8927 to donate Lm3.

Alternatively, donations can be made by means of a deposit in accounts held at Bank of Valletta (Account No. 40015232535), HSBC Bank Malta, (Account No. 75108050001) or APS Bank (Account No. 20000443537).
