The budget for 2007 will be presented today.

In its pre-budget document, the government has given the people the chance to understand what they should be expecting when Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi makes his speech in Parliament.

And what people are expecting are tax cuts, or at least a revision of the tax bands, and the removal of the departure tax that has kept many people from travelling since its introduction.

I do hope that the government listens to the people and what they are saying.
