Much too little is being done where animals are concerned. Animal cruelty is looked at with indifference by the law. Animal sanctuaries struggle to survive, while the government just looks on. An animal hospital is urgently needed but animals continue to suffer because of its inexistence.
Street Cat Rescue was set up with the main aim of forming a more effective network of feeding, neutering and medicating stray cats and where necessary, giving them a shelter, or even better, a home.
Besides encouraging kindness to cats, Street Cat Rescue also helps cat sanctuaries. Most of us spend some of our spare time taking care of cats at the sanctuaries. Others make it their responsibility to feed, neuter and look after the many cat colonies found in various localities, where a large number of cats and kittens are dying mainly due to lack of food, illness, accidents and ill-treatment.
Any animal lover who is willing to help our society in any way, be it as a volunteer at the cat sanctuary, by fostering kittens until they are old enough to be re-homed or even by adopting/sponsoring a cat, may contact us on 9996-2510, 7933-4371 or 9940-8138 or by email to [email protected].
