I read with interest the report on the discussion with the Urban Development and Roads Minister held at the university (TMID, 13 October), and I would like to ask the Public Transport Authority and the minister: why does bus No. 300, which departs from Senglea, only pick up passengers from Cospicua and Zabbar (as well as Fgura etc.) while

students from Marsascala are not served with this transport route to the Junior College and University?

Students from Marsascala have to get a bus to Zabbar and then wait for bus No. 300 at Zabbar. This is very discriminatory and time-consuming for Marsascala students and I would like to ask what are the authorities going to do about it?

If the bus left from Senglea just 10 minutes earlier it could also accommodate students in Marsascala. It is no wonder that students prefer to use their cars, except for those of us still too young too drive. I hope that someone in authority takes notice of this letter.
