The Malta Billiard & Snooker Association has introduced a new national snooker tournament for the Under 15.

So now for the first time ever officially the Association has two National Youth Competitions, the other being the Under 18. This is just one of the many new projects that the association is embarking upon. This will definitely help in developing the game of Snooker in Malta. The Association is also given opportunities to players from Gozo.

Sixteen players will be taking part in this first U/15 National League Competition. These players come from nine different clubs. The competition starts next Monday October with the first fixtures being Shaun Sultana (Aurora-Gozo) v Darren Falzon (Peace-Naxxar) and Keane Smith (Balluta-Sliema) v Roderick Grech (Duke of Connauth-B’kara).

Besides, Public Relation Officer of the Malta Billiard and Snooker Association, Vincent Pisani has made arrangements with Balluta Band Club to give the opportunity to Drago Snooker School in using the premises.

The Association is embarking on a lot of new projects. It is anticipated that in the near future, probable by next season, the Association will also introduce an Under 13 National League, so Malta for the first time will be in line with most European countries regarding the youth section.
