The Festival of Satire Bla Kondixin, previously known as Bla Kommixin, returns with a new hilarious show featuring the best of comedy talent in Malta. Over the years, Bla Kondixin has built a reputation for delivering biting satire, using the talents of the most popular comedians.

This year’s event takes to task the fund-raising marathons that are so

popular in December. A whole array of zany characters make sure that it will be an evening of non-stop laughter.

Among the many guests will be Ray Calleja with his award-winning impersonations, who gets a crossed line and many complications while answering the telephone. Hector Bruno gives us a hilarious send-up of the Brand Malta campaign.

The Zoo team (Sander, Owen, Daniel and Claire) will make an appearance as the Kings bearing gifts, and that is not the only thing they will bring with them! Mario Snits Spiteri, who created the “lovable” character of the Warden in previous editions, returns to the stage. Leigh-Anne Abela gives us Gracie, the nouveau-riche woman who doesn’t know good

manners, and Paul Portelli plays the Lajburist and a Sindku Nazzjonalista. The ever-popular satirical songs will be performed by the versatile Fakawi.

Performances will take place at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall at the University of Malta on three consecutive weekends: 17, 18, 19 and 24, 25, 26 November, and 1, 2, 3 December. Performances start at 7.30pm. Bookings can be made at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity on 2122-3216, or [email protected]

Fund-raising marathons will never be the same!
