How nice! But really, how unsatisfactory!

They have repaired another part of the road to Rabat, the part they left undone when, months ago, they scratched the road deeply and re-did the surface. It was a job well done, where it was done.

Unfortunately they left undone two sections of the road that were in as an atrocious condition as the sections they had repaired. The part from the fork to Ta’ Qali up to the roundabout leading to Zebbug, and the part, several hundred metres long, up to the turn into the Saqqajja.

This week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, they did the same job on the part from the turn into Ta’ Qali up to the roundabout. Thank you. How nice. We breathe a sigh of relief. But how unsatisfactory! Why did they not also do the upper part, that leads to the Saqqajja? It is in just as bad a state, all broken up, bumps and holes and uneven sections that send vehicles shaking. Must they always do only half a job? Are we so short of money, although we boast of an improving economy?
