The Sliema Wanderers and Malta forward Ivan Woods has landed the Bank of Valletta Player of the Month award for October.

Although netting just twice during the month, albeit from only three games, the Blues’ striker is carrying the burden of providing the goals for his side almost single-handedly.

Statistics reveal this main responsibility and his eight goals out of his team’s total tally of 13 testify to this.

If he keeps up this momentum his contribution for Sliema Wanderers as the season unfolds may yet pave the way towards his team recovering some lost ground in their bid to climb up the table from the middle of the standings.
