Melita Cable will be transmitting more live matches involving the Maltese national team.

Speaking during yesterday’s news conference at Ta’ Qali, company representative Franco Degabriele said Melita Cable had already acquired the rights for the forthcoming Norway-Malta and Hungary-Malta Euro 2008 qualifying matches.

He also revealed that the company was in advanced negotiations to achieve the rights of the remaining three away matches – v. Moldova, Greece and Bosnia Herzegovina.

He added that the company will soon resume its local transmissions of the Bank of Valletta Premier League matches. “The first match to be screened live will be the Birkirkara-Valletta clash in the first round on Saturday 25 November,” he said.
