Another round from the Melita Digital national 4 stroke Karting League organised at Badger Raceway, was held recently. Two races were scheduled for the evening. An encouraging number of rookies took part in the first race, this making for a balanced competitive race.
Iomar Vella had a very good evening indeed as he claimed both pole and race win in style to climb up to third place in the overall standings. Youngster Kyle Bartolo responded well after bad qualifier to finish second while Kirsten Camenzuli also had a good race by finishing third.
The second race saw a number of heavyweights facing each other at an early stage of the season. Zack Zammit made matters look easy as he took advantage of his pole start and led from start to finish making it clear to all that he is back to his best after a shaky start to the season.
Matthew Ciappara, the youngest driver in the race, enjoyed an excellent evening by finishing in second position, while Justin Aguis placed an important third which enabled him to stay at the top of the overall standings.
The next round of races is scheduled for 19 November at 7.30pm at Badger Raceway.
Fastest Lap of the evening belonged to Zack Zammit with 37.44 seconds
