This first encounter from the first division started at an unsettling pace and although both teams struggled to score, it was Sun Dream Travel NRG A who were leading 8-3 by the end of the first quarter.

Play was more settled in the subsequent fraction but the shots were still not forthcoming and this quarter ended with the low score of 6-4 to NRG A. The third quarter was the most balanced with New Ages Stars taking full advantage of NRG's lack of attacking moves to level this quarter score of four shots each.

In the final quarter Sun Dream Travel NRG A put their performance back on the right track and although New Ages Stars tried their best to keep up, their efforts proved futile as their opponents cruised to a 26-16 victory.

Kerygma Kaizers 61

This match from Division Two started and ended as a one-sided affair.

Kerygma Kaizers were too confident in their play especially when by the end of the first quarter they had opened a 20-0 lead. This course of play continued in the second quarter with the Wildcats' side still struggling to get their scoreboard ticking.

Their efforts were rewarded in the third quarter when they managed to net their first two shots.

Kerygma Kaizers kept up their good performance of play and accurate shooting till the end to easily claim their first five points.

In their opening game of the season, Kerygma Strikers came out with maximum points after a hard-fought game against United.

The game started with both teams all out for a win and the first quarter result (9-7 for Strikers) proved this.

The second quarter was a different story as Kerygma Strikers dominated throughout extending their lead to 18-9. It now seemed that Kerygma were heading towards an easy win.

United performed an excellent third quarter managing to narrow the gap to only three shots.

At this point United started believing that they could turn the score in their favour but it was not to be as Kerygma Strikers came back on court for the fourth quarter very determined not to let the game slip away from them.

In fact, they managed to score 11 shots to only five by United, taking home their first five points of the season. Due merit also goes to United as they showed clear progress from last season.
