The park and ride system is up and running and the more time passes, the more people get used to the idea.

My question is – why do we start systems in phases?

I am referring to the fact that the park and ride system is to be linked with an even bigger project that will see the elimination of the V-licence plate for Valletta, which is to be replaced by payment for parking.

I believe that the park and ride system and the new pay-for-parking system in Valletta should have been introduced at the same time.

As it is happening, we first had the first phase of the park and ride; soon we will have the second phase of the park and ride system when more parking places in Blata l-Bajda will be made available; and later on we will have the V-licence elimination.

I just wonder…will this be done in phases too?
