Saint James Hospital Group is an environmentally friendly organisation that has recently participated in the 34Babies (Tree for Babies) Scheme which forms part of the 34U Campaign.

Last Sunday, Saint James Hospital Group chairman Josie Muscat, in the presence of the Rural Affairs and the Environment Minister George Pullicino, attended a tree-planting ceremony at Kennedy Grove, Salina.

The trees, sponsored by Saint James Hospital Group, were planted on behalf of the proud parents of children born at the group’s hospitals.

Dr Muscat said: “In order to celebrate the miracle of life, the Group decided that it will be sponsoring the planting of a tree in the name of every child born at one of our hospitals.

“At the same time, we will be contributing towards making our country a greener place in which to live.”
