A new website by Dhalia Real Estate called The Balkan Jewel was launched last month.
Once you log on to www.balkanjewel.com your screen will be transformed into a wooden desktop, complete with all the things you find on a desk, and a book that you can actually flip with your mouse.
Like a printed brochure, the Balkan Jewel site offers scenic pictures and informative text, with the added advantage of user interactivity. You can actually choose the property you wish from a 3D model and the site will present you with floor plans and information on the apartment you chose. Or you can immerse yourself in a 360degrees photo of the property. Users visiting the site described it as “very user friendly”, “fun to use” and even “addictive”.
Dhalia Real Estate Ltd. entrusted this project to the Alert Communications Team. The brief was “presenting a vast amount of information in a clear and attractive way”. The challenge was to achieve this while putting the user in a relaxed atmosphere, away from cluttered menus and overcrowded pages. The Balkan Jewel is all about providing a relief from everyday routine, and the site faithfully reflects it. The Alert designers developed the site using Flash, Photoshop and a great deal of creativity.
