Maltese snooker player Tony Drago yesterday suffered a heavy defeat by Ricky Walden in the third round of the UK Championship and was eliminated.

Drago lost 9-1 against superior Walden to miss the chance of meeteing Ian McCullogh in the next round.

Drago had beaten Kachaiwong in the second round but found it tough against Walden yesterday.

Other Maltese player Alex Borg was eliminated early in the first round by Liang Wenbo.
