Local international FIBA basketball referee, Bernard Vassallo, and the local FIBA commissioner, Leonard Falzon, will, once again this week, be tasting European action after receiving respective nominations from FIBA in the last days.
Local international FIBA basketball referee, Bernard Vassallo, will be in action, for the second time this month, in the European sphere after he was nominated by FIBA to control the Euro Cup Group E match in Spain between Hondarribia Irun and the French side, Aix-en Provence tomorrow.
Both teams are presently leading the group standings with the French having two wins while the Spaniards are in the second spot in the table with a win from two matches.
Vassallo will referee this encounter, to be played in the Hondartza Hall in San Sebastian, Bilbao.
In the meantime, local FIBA commissioner Leonard Falzon will again be in Syracuse, Italy this Thursday as he will oversee the Euro Cup Women encounter between Trogylos Priolo and Rhondda Rebels (Wales) where the referees will be the Spaniard Vicente Bulto and Albanian Albi Greva.
