Thousands of people a day from countries all over the world are logging on to Malta’s newest information website.

The website, findit.com.mt, offers information on hundreds of different business in Malta and Gozo and, since its launch at the end of August, has received over two million page loads.

Findit lists everything from hair salons to private investigators, from estate agents to hotels, in a simple, easy-to-use, fully searchable database.

Website general manager Wesley Ellul said they are overwhelmed by the sheer volume of traffic the website is attracting.

Findit is unique in that it has limited membership of the site to a certain amount of businesses – just seven in each category.

New businesses are joining findit at a rate of more than 100 a month, enabling the site to constantly grow and expand the variety of products and services on offer.

And there are plans to increase usage of the site still further by making it accessible to mobile phone users in the near future.
