The organisers of the Malta Challenge Marathon yesterday informed us officially that Carol Walsh’s official result should be five minutes less than that printed in yesterday’s newspapers.

They claimed that Walsh had finished the 25km run on Sunday in one hour 42 minutes and 57 seconds and not one hour 47 minutes and 57 seconds. Therefore, her overall time should read 2 hours 50 minutes and 27 seconds. That enabled her to place 11th overall in the event.
