As part of Raiffeisen Malta Bank plc’s (RMB) celebrations to mark its 10th year of operations from its Malta office, a delegation from the bank has planted a number of trees at Ta’ Xbiex public garden. The delegation, headed by general manager Anthony C. Schembri, also consisted of directors Werner Kaltenbrunner and Alexander Gollcher, head of international marketing and product development Christoph Rattasits and the bank’s administrative staff.

Set up in 1996, Raiffeisen Malta Bank plc is a fully owned subsidiary of the Vienna-based Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (RZB) which is the parent company of the RZB Group and the central institution of the Austrian Raiffeisen Banking Group (RBG), Austria’s most powerful banking group. Founded in 1927, RZB provides the full range of commercial and investment banking services in Austria and is regarded as a pioneer in Central and Eastern Europe. It ranks among the region’s leading banks, offering commercial, investment and retail banking services.

The tree planting activity was organised in conjunction with the Ministry of Rural Affairs and the Environment’s 34U Campaign as part of its nation-wide tree-planting programme.
