The Game Boxing gym which is situated at St Paul’s Bay organised its first boxing tournament which had three official boxing fights and three exhibition fights. This event was organised by Ludvic Muscat and it attracted a crowd of about 200 fans. The three boxing clubs competing during the night were Dione Boxing Club, Bertu’s gym and The Game.

The show started with an exhibition between Justin Dimech vs Lee Agius and this was followed by two other exhibitions between Rodney Mercieca vs Domenic Sciberras and Paul Montfort vs James Venezian.

The first competitive match was a light flyweight category between Clint Grech (The Game gym) vs Mark Cox (Bertu’s Gym) with Clint Grech winning the match.

In the second official match Darren Agius (Dione Boxing club) beat the Serbian Joan Reljic ( Bertu’s Gym). In the final match of the night Giorgio Bileci (Dione Boxing Club) vs Trevor Grech (The Game) Bileci knocked Grech in the first round of the match and escaping as winner from the ring.

However Clint Grech snatched the award of best boxer of the night. The referee of the event was Jimmy Galea while on this occasion Jamie Galea, Martin Fenech and Charles Cardona were the time keepers.
