Eight squash players have just completed the first part of a European Squash Federation coaching course to become Level 1 squash coaches.

Michael Khan, from Vienna, was appointed by the ESF to hold this course. The course consisted of 20 hours of lectures and mostly practical work on court.

The would be coaches now have six weeks in which to practice what they have been taught, before Khan returns to Malta to hold part two of the course and test the players. Those who are successful can then go on to take the Level 2 course which is being held in Vienna, in January 2007.

Malta Squash has a number of other similar courses planned for 2007 among which is a Rules Course, which everyone agrees will be of benefit to all players of any level.
