Local accounting, audit and consultancy firm Busuttil & Micallef has been appointed member firm of Inpact International. Inpact may be small in comparison to the “Big 4” firms, but its member firms are large in specialised experience and service.
In fact, the regular and growing collaboration between Inpact member firms around the world on cross-border assignments means they are all well aware of the needs of clients with international operations. The Inpact motto is “International Presence, Local Expertise”.
Inpact began with a European perspective in 1989, affiliating with a well-established network of independent CPA firms in North America in 1995 and extending to a dynamic fast-growing Asian Pacific network in 1998 resulting in the excellent global representation of Inpact today. Its regional administrative offices in London, Maryland and Hong Kong coordinate members’ services, and marketing activities and organise various annual network events.
Inpact International also organises a biennial World Conference, which enhances the trilateral relationship between the three continents and provides another opportunity to explore and develop cooperation among member firms and their clients.
This year, World Conference 2006 was held last month at the Cavalieri Hilton in Rome and was attended by around 100 delegates from some 40 countries worldwide, among them Busuttil & Micallef for the first time as new members. David Busuttil and
Dr Ian Crockford, the latest addition to the team, attended the conference. Dr Crockford, a Chartered Certified Accountant and lawyer, comes with many years experience with “Big 4” accounting firms as well as a top Maltese law firm and plans to put Busuttil & Micallef at the forefront of the international corporate law and taxation scene.
David Busuttil and Dr Renald Micallef are a young and dynamic partnership and bring together their vast knowledge of business gained over a considerable number of years practicing in the profession that covers a vast and varied portfolio of businesses.
Busuttil & Micallef is also strongly linked with Renald Micallef & Associates (Advocates), which is currently applying for membership of LawPact, Inpact’s sister organisation. The aim of the LawPact affiliation is to improve the management of members’ practices, to assist members to better evaluate growth strategies for their practices and to provide a referral and resource network between its member firms. LawPact maintains its affiliation with Inpact International in order to improve member relations and the working relationship with accountancy firms.
