I am only a silly Belgian. I write this letter because I’m feeling very sad about my favourite Maltese hotel being closing down after March 2007.

The only big hotel in the south sits in a perfect area in Marsascala, were people can go for a meal and have a drink.

When the Corinthia Jerma Palace Hotel closes, I’ll be a bit with it, because I loved staying there for 13 years, and that makes me feel almost as bad as when my husband died.

But I know money has no feelings, and never will. I’m the same as most of the return guests who are feeling sad and desperate.

And most of all I’m worried about the staff, because they all are very friendly and helpful, always smiling. I wonder what will happen to them. I hope a miracle will happen, it will be a sad Christmas and New Year knowing it will be the last one, home at the Jerma Palace.
