A high profile meeting will be held next week for all Air Malta workers, members within the General Workers Union (GWU) where new proposals will be discussed for the second rescue plan proposed by Air Malta.
After a meeting held last Tuesday by the workers’ committee, GWU secretary general Tony Zarb explained that the proposals put forward by the government can be translated into further sacrifices as they directly affect the income and working conditions of Air Malta employees.
Mr Zarb explained that the GWU will keep workers informed on all the negotiations during the meetings.
He said next week’s meeting is important for the GWU to create a strategy for the Union to work upon once faced with the new Air Malta plan.
