Heritage Malta and Maltapost have joined forces to mount an exhibition of stamp design entitled, “Stars and Spirals”. The exhibition, in the lobby of the National Museum of Archaeology will remain open to the public until 14 January.

The exhibition consists of 24 original stamp designs together with the first-day covers and stamps of each corresponding issue. The designs are by Emvin Cremona, Harry Borg, Ganni Bonnici and Norbert Attard and span a period of over three decades from 1964-1996.

Two artefacts from the National Collection used on the 1965 Definitive issue (Roman Lamp) and the 1996 Treasures of Malta – Prehistoric Art issue (small Tarxien Bowl) together with a commemorative medal issued for the 1969 Christmas Stamps Exhibition are also on display.
