The organisers of “Clean Up the World Malta 2006” have definitely done their best to instil a sense of environmental awareness among the general public. Even the ministers responsible have repeatedly encouraged everyone to do their bit to have a cleaner environment.

Nonetheless, a bigger effort is expected from Environment Minister George Pullicino to put an end to the distribution of numerous political flyers and other items of a political nature that is often enough strewn all over the streets by candidates contesting the next general election.
