Four people were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Floriana yesterday morning.

The police said a 34-year-old from Ghajnsielem, Gozo was driving towards Valletta at around 3.45am when he lost control of his Kia Mentor and crashed into a wall.

Three passengers in the car – two men, aged 34 and 32, from San Gwann and Mosta respectively, and a 23-year-old woman from Zabbar – were also injured.

They were taken to hospital suffering from serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
