In line with the preparations for the euro changeover process, Bank of Valletta has published a euro conversion table showing various values in Maltese Lira and their equivalent in euro. The euro conversion table uses the present central parity rate of 1 euro is equivalent to Lm 0.4293.
“Bank of Valletta has taken this initiative of printing euro conversion tables as part of its education and communication campaign leading up to Malta’s adoption of the euro,” said John Cassar Torreggiani, Executive EEAD responsible for the Euro Programme at Bank of Valletta when he was launching this initiative.
“Over the past months, we have gradually intensified our communication campaign and this will continue to build up as we approach E-Day.
By distributing euro conversion tables, we are seeking to be supportive to the general public, providing a simple tool that will make it easier to get familiar with the value of the Maltese lira vis-à-vis the euro. The conversion table is pocket sized and is easy to carry around,” concluded Mr Cassar Torreggiani.
The euro conversion tables are available from any BOV branch.
