A man was yesterday charged with breaching one of his bail conditions when he failed to appear in court for his case.
Melvin Pace, 20, from Zabbar, was charged with breaching the conditions imposed by magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona on 30 May. According to the prosecution, he failed to appear at his court sitting on Thursday.
The prosecution also called on the court to withdraw his bail as well as the Lm1,000 deposit and the Lm1,000 personal guarantee he paid in order to be granted bail.
Before magistrate Lawrence Quintano, Mr Pace pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him.
Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted while Dr Franco Debono and Dr Charmaine Cherrett appeared for the man.
