Hello Truth is the debut album of local rock outfit Salt that was launched last Wednesday at a gig where the band performed the album live.

The songs range from straight rock (If You Do Not Build) to spiky powerpop (Want to be With You), on to more intimate ballads, some of which have a tendency of exploding somewhere towards the end.

The septet, made up of Manuel on drums, Karl on bass, David and Dean on guitars, Joe on keys and backing vox with vocal duties shared by Louise Ann and Janice, has been around for three odd years, and have already performed in festivals abroad, with their first experience in Germany prompting them to start recording their album with producer Boris Cezek.

The fruit of their work is now with us, a 10-track album, which shows that the truth needn’t always be unpleasant.
