An operetta evening held recently at the Culture Performance Hall of the Sliema Philharmonic Society was a resounding success. An appreciative audience, which included President Emeritus Dr Censu Tabone and Culture and Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech, filled the hall to capacity.

It was the penultimate event of the Sliema International Arts Festival organised between September and December. Coordinated by Joe Fenech and performed by eight local singers, the Serata all’Operetta included selections of the most popular operettas. By general request there will be a second performance on Friday, 26 January.
