The Amadeus Chamber Choir is once again giving its usual Prelude to Christmas concert and this year, it has quite a few surprises in store. Organised by Musique, this year’s concert will feature the Amadeus Chamber Choir and Orchestra, together with appearances by the 70-strong Sacred Heart School Choir, the Pepprin Children’s Choir of St Patrick’s Church, Sliema and a few more little surprises.
Beautifully arranged carols (as always with what fans call an “Amadeus difference”) will be performed together with other great items such as the powerful When You Believe from The Prince of Egypt, in which all the choirs will join together – over 150 singers.
The leader of the orchestra is Sarah Spiteri and the concert is under the direction of Brian Cefai and his assistant Michelle Castelletti.
This concert will be held in memory of the choir’s seven-year-old angel Angele (a year after her loss) on Saturday, 23 December at 7.30pm in the new auditorium of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, St Julian’s.
Tickets at Lm5 are available from St James Cavalier on 2122 3216 or [email protected] All proceeds will go to the nuns of the Convent of the Sacred Heart in the Philippines.
