Two men were arrested after they were found in possession of drugs in Vittoriosa yesterday afternoon, the police said.

A 41-year-old man from Vittoriosa and a 29-year-old man from Marsascala were found in possession of an undisclosed amount of packets containing heroin and cocaine which were ready to be sold. Other drug-related items were also found in their possession, the police said.

Duty Magistrate Antonio Mizzi, who was informed about the case, appointed various experts to help in the inquiry.

The men are expected to be arraigned in the coming days.

The police are investigating.
