I am slightly bewildered and in guessing mode.

An Enemalta Corporation ad, referring to the gas cylinder distribution from fixed points, says: “Door to door deliveries will not be affected with the introduction of the fixed points distribution system.”

As it happens, many, including The Times, where I saw the ad, confuse “affected” with “effected”, so Enemalta should have avoided this, seeing that both “affected” and “effected” could both be right in this case. Is Enemalta saying that door to door deliveries will still be made, in spite of the fixed points distribution system, or is it saying that as consumers can now call at these points to replenish their gas supply, no cylinders will be distributed door to door?

My guess is that Enemalta means “affected”, as the ad says. Meaning that there will still be door to door distribution. But that is only my guess.
