Birkirkara’s injury jinx seems to have no end.

Yesterday it was the turn of Argentine new signing Dario Larrossa to feel the effect.

He was injured during the first half and replaced by Clint Micallef.

Later it was ascertained by club chairman Victor Zammit that he had broken an ankle which will possibly keep him out for eight weeks.

The Argentine player, who had been showing some promise, had joined the Stripes late in November, taking the place of Hatem Sbai whose contract was terminated.
