Air Malta, in collaboration with MAS Communications, has just published the 9th edition of the Travel Trade Directory. The publication, which incorporates a directory of various goods and services offered in Malta related to tourism, is aimed at promoting the Islands by providing information on places of interest, history, hotels and restaurants, entertainment, excursions and other essential tourist subjects. The directory is distributed free of charge all over Air Malta’s network of 50 destinations in over 20 countries and beyond.
The Travel Trade Directory is also
distributed to various foreign travel journalists and the senior management of travel organisations who market Malta overseas. In addition, it is distributed at all foreign travel exhibitions in which Air Malta participates during the year, including the World Travel Market in London, ITB in Berlin and BIT in Milan, and through Air Malta’s network of outstation offices and general sales agents worldwide.
Commenting on the publication, a spokesman for Air Malta said: “This directory is yet another initiative by Air Malta to help and support the local tourism industry. Apart from the printed publication, the directory is also being made available in CD format, which makes it more practical and accessible. The inform-ation available in the directory is also mirrored on Malta’s premier tourism information website, www.malteseislands.com, which is available in four languages: English, German, Italian and French. The website’s directory contains the most comprehensive index of tourism services available and is an essential reference to the Maltese islands.”
