A programme of activities has been drawn up by the Curia to mark the ordination of Mgr Paul Cremona as Archbishop of Malta.The programme will start on 8 January when Mgr Cremona will take part in a personal retreat, led by Mgr Vincenz Deguara. The retreat will last until 12 January and on the last day will be led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech.

Other activities preceding his ordination include a live-in with parish priests on 16 January, and meetings with young people, children and diocesan priests.

Mgr Cremona will be ordained as Malta’s Archbishop on 26 January during a Mass at St John’s Co-Cathedral, to be led by outgoing Archbishop Mgr Joseph Mercieca.

Following his ordination, Mgr Cremona will be visiting St Luke’s Hospital on 29 January and will meet the elderly on 31 January. He will lead Candlemas celebrations on 2 February and will meet families on 4 February. His first pontifical Mass will be on 10 February, the feast of St Paul, and will meet lay people on 15 February. On 24 February, Mgr Cremona and Mgr Grech will lead a solemn Mass at the Gozo Cathedral.
