In his Christmas message, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech focuses on the conscience, the faculty which helps us take decisions. He prays that the conscience will be enlightened with God’s light, for a conscience without God is a dangerous conscience. Even the State needs a God-enlightened conscience.
Mgr Grech then refers to families and prays for those families in mourning, with members who are sick and those who are in conflict.
His final thoughts are for the schools and the seminary. Without the light of Christ, he writes, schools can, instead of forming a person, deform that person.
